HLTH 2025 Recap: Showcasing the Future of Aging at Home

In this article
October was a milestone month for HIA as our team travelled to Las Vegas for HLTH, one of the most influential events in the health innovation space. The 2025 conference brought together more than 12,000 leaders across healthcare, technology, research, and policy to explore the solutions shaping the future of health. This year’s agenda focused on turning emerging technologies into real-world impact, with major themes such as artificial intelligence, data quality, women’s health, chronic disease management, and the growing need for patient-centred, preventive care. With over 400 speakers, immersive demos, and a vibrant exhibit hall, HLTH 2025 provided a powerful platform to share our work and connect with organizations advancing healthier, more independent aging.
Our Booth: Confidence for Aging at Home

Visitors described our booth as fresh, warm, and visually distinct. The home-inspired layout, soft lighting, and family photos conveyed a simple message immediately: confidence for aging at home. Many attendees said the space felt more like a living room than a trade-show booth, a choice that sparked emotional conversations throughout the event
The warm seating, soft lighting, family photos, and home-inspired layout helped visitors picture what aging support looks like in real life rather than in a clinical setting. This design choice sparked emotional conversations with nearly everyone who stopped by and even caught the attention of Colin Hung, Editor at Swaay.Health and Healthcare IT Today, who described the booth as having “cozy and warm living room vibes”.
What We Showcased
Our team presented a range of LifelineConnect devices that address key risks affecting senior independence. Each product supports safety, prevention, and connection, working together as part of a modular ecosystem.
Stride, our Smart Walking Stick

A traditional cane enhanced with smart sensors, fall detection, and GPS tracking. Stride provides added reassurance during daily routines by showing families the user’s location when the cane is in use.
Shield, our Keyless Door Lock system
Shield addresses one of the most common caregivers and family members anxieties: "Did Mom remember to lock the door?" This remotely monitored and controlled lock ensures the home is secure, enables family or emergency services to enter when needed, and eliminates the worry of lost keys or forgotten locks. It supports independence while adding peace of mind for caregivers.
Trust, our Lifeline Fall Sensor

A discreet, non-camera fall detection device for high-risk areas like bathrooms or kitchens. It monitors for falls automatically and silently, supporting independence without compromising privacy.
Balance, our Connected Blood Pressure Monitor

Continuous tracking helps older adults and caregivers spot concerning trends early rather than waiting for a crisis. Balance makes hypertension monitoring effortless and shareable with healthcare providers.
Engage, the Hearing Buds
Over-the-counter earbuds that enhance hearing clarity and reduce social isolation. They help older adults stay engaged in conversations and maintain a stronger emotional connection.
Ensure, the Lifeline Pill Dispenser

A simple electronic dispenser that organizes and delivers medications on schedule with helpful reminders. It reduces confusion around complex regimens and supports safe, consistent adherence.
Watch, our Next-Generation Connected Safety Wearable
A sleek, senior-first wearable that replaces bulky alert pendants with continuous monitoring and early decline indicators. It provides real-time safety insights in a form older adults actually want to wear.
The Health Watch drew the strongest reaction at the booth. Visitors praised its simplicity and senior-first design, noting that it felt intuitive and purposeful, not overwhelming like many smartwatches. Many saw it as the natural evolution of the classic alert pendant, redesigned as a stylish accessory older adults actually want to wear. With activity sensors, safety alerts, and early decline indicators, it quickly became clear why the Watch is a cornerstone of the LifelineConnect ecosystem.
Real Reactions: What We Heard
Across hundreds of conversations at HLTH, several themes emerged clearly:
People immediately understood the mission
A recurring reaction was, “Your solution makes so much sense; why has no one done this before?” Visitors caring for aging parents often asked where they could sign up, underscoring the personal relevance of the problem.
Modularity stood out as a major differentiator
Most aging products on the market are single purpose, one-size-fits-all. People were surprised and excited by the flexibility of LifelineConnect, appreciating that families can choose the right combination of tools for their needs.
Enterprise response was especially strong
Payers saw the ecosystem as a way to reduce emergency room visits and support members before crises occur. They valued that caregivers are intentionally included in the product experience.
Providers viewed the system as a way to keep patients safe and connected in between visits, addressing gaps where early decline often begins.
Silverline™ Certification sparked interest
Many attendees had never seen a standardized certification focused on simplicity and senior-friendly design. Several compared it to an “Intel Inside” mark for aging in place products, recognizing its potential impact immediately.
The emotional core of HLTH
The most memorable moments came from visitors opening up about their parents, caregiving challenges, and hopes for helping loved ones stay independent. These conversations reinforced that aging at home is not just a healthcare topic but a deeply human one.
The Team Behind the Mission

HLTH was a team effort, with different groups contributing to conversations across media, partnerships, research, and product demonstrations.
Our marketing and partnerships team, led by Dorit and Nikolina, shaped the booth experience, guided external communication, and met with companies exploring collaborations in aging support.
Our product and customer experience leads, including Andrija and Wing, walked visitors through demos, answered technical questions, and showed how the LifelineConnect ecosystem works in real life.
Our business development group, including Todd, Ashley, and Craig, met with payers, health systems, and strategic partners interested in preventive, in-home support.
Our healthy aging and research team, represented by David, connected with hospitals, researchers, and organizations focused on clinical evidence and standards.
Across the week, the team helped visitors understand how LifelineConnect can support independence at home, close gaps between clinical visits, and provide caregivers with meaningful, real time support.
Throughout the event, we highlighted the work underway to unify risk logic, predictive indicators, and practical tools that help families support aging loved ones with confidence.
Looking Ahead
HLTH gave us an opportunity to preview what is coming next for HIA and gather valuable feedback for our upcoming initiatives. Our team returned with new momentum, strengthened partnerships, and a deeper commitment to helping seniors live safely, confidently, and independently at home.
As we continue refining LifelineConnect, advancing Silverline certification, and expanding our predictive risk tools, we remain focused on one goal: building a world where aging is supported long before crisis begins.
