HIA's Health Research

Tom Alexander

Tom brings over a decade of research experience to HIA and leads the health science engine that sits at the heart of the HIA platform.

With a background spanning exercise physiology and cardiopulmonary research, he specializes in turning signals from HIA's ecosystem into meaningful health insights and predictive models that support proactive, independent living for older adults.

Tom oversees the full Applied Health Research pipeline, from raw sensor data and cohort validation through to scoring systems, notification frameworks, and actionable intelligence.

He leads clinical validation efforts, HIA's scorecard development, and advisory board engagement, ensuring that every metric HIA delivers is grounded in rigorous science and real-world relevance. His work bridges the gap between what devices can measure and what genuinely matters for older adults and the families who care for them.
